Lord of the Rings Sunday Two-Headed Giant Prerelease

Journey with familiar favorites on a whole new adventure, there and back again, filled with valor, courage, and second breakfast.
You’ll experience the thrill of opening Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-Earth cards for the first time with other Magic players who enjoy the game just as much as you. Everything you’ll need to play will be provided as part of your entry fee—you simply show up and play!
Prereleases are Sealed Deck format events, where you build a minimum 40-card minimum deck using the contents of a themed Prerelease Pack. For Two-Headed Giant players pool their cards together to build a 40 card minimum deck for each teammate.
After you build your decks, you’ll be randomly paired with another team for a best two-of-three match. Each round you’ll report who won and be paired up with a different team. Each team starts with 30 life and teams play through the phases of the game at the same time.
Lord of the Rings Prerelease Pack contents:
- 6 Lord of the Rings Draft booster packs
- A promo pack with one FOIL Rare of Mythic date stamped for prerelease
- Spindown life counter
Registration for this event closes at 5 pm and will get started shortly thereafter. For each person who enters the tournament we will add 2 set booster packs of Lord of the Rings to the prize pool. Each person is guaranteed at least one booster pack if they finish the event. Each player on the winning team receives a Playmat as well.
The entry fee for the event is $45 per player ($90 per team).
